Chevrolet has unveiled two new EV models for 2022: the Silverado and the Equinox. The new announcement is targeting the growing EV market in North America and will certainly compete hard with Ford's new F105 Lightning and Tesla's Cybertruck.
Chevrolet Silverado EV
As described by Chevrolet Canada Website, it will be able to go up to 640 km (400 mi) range GM estimated on a full charge, the Silverado will feature:
- Up to 660 HP
- Under 4.5 Seconds 0-96 KM/H TIME
- Over 780 LB.-FT. of Torque
It can tow up to 10,000 lb. (4,534 kg) of max towing, and on a future WT model up to 20,000 lb. (9,071 kg), to hitch up and hit the road with ease.
Additionally, it will support Chevrolet's new hands-free driving and trailering system across 320,000 km (200,000 miles) of divided and compatible highways in Canada and the U.S., known available Super Cruise driver assistance technology.

Among the standard safety features, the Silverado EV will include:
- Automatic Emergency Braking
- Front Pedestrian Braking
- Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning.
- Forward Collision Alert.
- Intellibeam High Beam
- Following Distance Indicator
The New Equinox EV
Although not many details have been released yet, other than the 2023 Equinox EV photos, Chevrolet has stated this simple message:
