I've never driven a Jaguar, but I'm for sure running after their new EV. Bringing electric power to the Jaguar I-PACE is a major move by the British manufacturing. It's exhilarating to look at and drive, and the I-PACE has a strong claim to the title of the world’s most impressive five-seater sports car. Compact on the outside, it provides exceptional space and luxury comfort within.
While you can dig more at Jaguar Canada website, here are some of the most important Jaguar I-PACE features consumers should look at if they want to take this vehicle home. They include both standard features and special options that can be used to build a personalized Jaguar I-PACE experience.

Jaguar I-PACE In-Car Technology
The seamless integration of tech into the Jaguar I-PACE makes controlling the car's features and connected devices easy and intuitive. I remembered the recent Audi Q8 level of tech from the recent test drive I did. "Screens are coming" and soon will be the standard.
A Touch Pro Duo infotainment system includes a 10-inch touchscreen integrated into the dashboard and a lower five-inch screen with multifunction, dynamic dials. The system makes it easy to listen to your favorite music, radio stations, and podcasts on the move – without your smartphone!
The Navigation Pro system displays either 2D or 3D maps and allows you to search destinations instantly and receive live traffic updates. Connect Pro enables you to find what's happening along your route, parking, and more. Through the InControl app, you can interact with your Jaguar I-PACE and get critical information, such as available vehicle range and special assistance in case of a breakdown.
Other technology features include:
-
Smart Settings – Automatically identifying the preferences of each driver.
-
Head-Up Display – Reducing distraction by displaying key vehicle data on the windshield.
-
Interactive Driver Display – Presenting high-definition data as needed, including full-screen navigation with 3D mapping.
-
Meridian Audio – A superior surround sound system from British audio experts.
-
Jaguar iGuide – An app that explains all the essential features and controls of your I‑PACE.

Electric Performance
Dynamic performance and thrilling power, with zero tailpipe emissions, the Jaguar I-PACE delivers everything you would expect from an all-electric, state-of-the-art SUV.
The Jaguar dynamics include two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors that provide 394 HP and 512 lb-ft of useable instant torque, enabling the I-PACE to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds (Tesla Model S does under and the Model 3 AWD also goes under 4.4s).
The I-PACE has a 90 kWh battery designed for longevity and prolonged periods of sustained maximum power. With a conventional 50 kW DC rapid charger, the I-PACE can achieve a 0-80% charge in 85 minutes. Instead of a conventional transmission, the JaguarDrive instantly delivers acceleration from 0‑12,000 rpm with no lag and gearshift interruptions.
Other electric performance features include:
-
Torque Vectoring by Braking – Provides sports-car-like agility with controlled independent braking on the interior front and rear wheels.
-
Active Air Suspension – Improves aerodynamic performance by automatically reducing the space between the car and the road.
-
Adaptive Dynamics – Monitors vehicle movements up to 500 times a second and delivers precise dynamics for a smooth and luxurious ride.
-
Configurable Dynamics – Allows you to personalize the I‑PACE throttle sensitivity, steering weighting, and damper stiffness.
All-Wheel Drive Base Model MSRP 89,800
Starting right under the 90k, Jaguar's EV comes with AWD by default. Delivering all-surface and all-weather drivability, the Jaguar I-PACE all-wheel drive provides immediate power and torque response so that the car's electric motors can adapt independently to the driver's inputs, the road surface conditions, and the available grip.
The Adaptive Surface Response continually monitors the vehicle's environment and adjusts the appropriate motor and brake settings. The advanced All-Surface Progress Control system enables you to set and maintain a steady speed in challenging conditions such as slippery roads. And providing optimum torque control when you move off from a standstill, Low Traction Launch enhances capability in slippery conditions such as wet grass, snow, and ice.
