I love visiting dealers, either for test-drives, helping friends decide or assisting my clients. I really love it. While many people see car dealers as "bad persons," based on their personal experience, it is like everything in life: If you were treated by an inexperienced salesperson, the chances of being dissapointed aver very high. I've been there too, but you have to choose, what kind of experience you want: quality, low price, warranty, comfort... There are many factors involved to fit with each one's preferences but, first of all, you need to know what's out there to then, go for it.
If you are looking for a Volkswagen in Montreal, like a close friend of mine a couple of weeks ago, I suggest you to continue reading this article.
Volkswagen Centre Ville: The Customer Experience
Car Dealers find it hard to survive in a downtown. Very high rent costs, the difficulty of allocating vehicles, low volume of potential customers passing by, compared to highways and some other better-placed installations.
Volkswagen Centre Ville has managed to deal with all of these and become a nation-wide reference for Volkswagen dealers. Just starting with the customer experience: it is astonishing. Some of their sales staff have been there for more than 20 years and the whole process: test-driving, negotiation and vehicle delivery is smooth and pleasant. They are really close to the busiest streets of downtown Montreal and have managed to build a parking structure for their inventory that helps them save space in an awe-inspiring way.
Les Automobiles Popular VW: Convenience
Located right in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal and sharing space with Audi Popular, Les Automobiles Popular VW is very convenient if you are a "German vehicle" person. With the pass of the years, we all tend to bend towards specific product styles, not just for vehicles, but also for everything. Having a couple of German Vehicles dealers, and even from the same group, is something that will likely weight when you decide. Incentives, discounts, and benefits are way better when negotiated with the same group.
Their inventory is slightly smaller than the one at Volkswagen Centre Ville, but the dealership is way likely close to major urban areas in the city of Montreal, making it more accessible to the center of the island and accessible from Rosemont, Maissoneuve, Outremont & Le Plateau. Overall, the densest population areas of all Canada, right after Vancouver.
Vaudreuil Volkswagen: Volume & Service Area
Open on Saturdays, a crazy huge service area and lots of availability due to the significant inventory they have; the Vaudreuil Volkswagen dealership is very convenient if you are pickier regarding colors, submodels, and availability. The more prominent space, the larger amount of options you will find when looking for alternatives or specific configurations.
While located outside of the island of Montreal, you can get there in less than 30 minutes from the city downtown. Their service area is also enormous compared with the previous alternatives, making it easier to get appointments, schedule checks or customize your vehicle for delivery.
