We've been doing multiple reviews lately about the all-new 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. Main reasons? It is just an impressive vehicle and, because of that, we actually acquired one for our marketing/sales fleet. But how have been Canadians, and why not, people in the U.S. were receiving the Atlas? On this article, I will talk about it.
For Sure, more than the Touareg
While the Touareg is a more exclusive vehicle, the Atlas is designed and oriented for a more affordable market while maintaining lots of the most popular car features people are looking for today: space, technology, and safety.
The Atlas was launched in mid-May 2017, and since, 4,534 units were delivered until the end of the year. More than four and a half thousand ahead of only 991 Touareg units in the whole year. On the other hand, the Tiguan sales reached a total of 15,028 units delivered in Canada. It is worth to note that Canadians have a particular preference for Volkswagen vehicles compared to the U.S. market, where numbers are usually 8 - 10 times higher but with Volkswagen, precisely, every 3 - 5 vehicles sold in the U.S., one is sold here.
In the U.S. 27,119, Atlas units were delivered during 2017 with December being the top month reaching a total of 6,070. That's a lot.
You Notice When Driving Around
We are based in Montreal, QC, specifically on Le Plateau-Mont-Royal, and you can clearly spot a few Atlas parked around the narrow-street neighborhood. Following, just a few photos taken from the Atlas we see around every day.
